Who Are We?
We are comprised of 30 accomplished professional women dedicated to addressing the underserved communities in Fairfield County Connecticut. Collectively, we represent a broad range of talents and expertise and provide resources to provide greater access to healthcare, improve literacy, and end poverty in our communities.
Our mission is to provide unique programming, which starts with early education reading development programs, middle and high school tutoring and career mentoring designed to support early identification of STEM career options; and culminates with our annual college scholarship program that supports qualified students for up to four years.
Through our corporate and community partnerships, we have successfully provided scholarships and educational support to underrepresented minority children in Fairfield County. In fact, for more than a decade, the Fairfield County Chapter, of The Links, Incorporated. has provided over $200,000 in scholarships to deserving students.
Since 2000, in addition to our scholarship efforts, members of our organization have touched more than 20,000 Fairfield county residents annually, personally donated more than 50,000 documented community service hours, contributed over $400,000 in grants and services to local agencies and charities, explicitly targeted to support the underserved, including the Norma F. Pfreim Breast Care Center, the Domus Foundation – Stamford Academy Charter School, the Action for Bridgeport Community Development Inc. Total Learning Program, and Reach Prep Academy, to name a few.
